ANGLED PEDALS

Three degrees separates us.

For maximum performance, the interface between shoe, cleat and pedal is crucial. As is the precise individual fit between bike and rider.

Angled cleat shims can compromise two bolt clipless SPD systems. A gap is created between the shoe and pedal, significantly reducing contact area, increasing stack height and introducing off axis loads into the sole.

So we took a different approach: we moved the pedal to meet the shoe.

Our proof of concept allows the foot to sit at an angle of three degrees relative to the pedal axle - whilst maintaining the shoe to pedal interface just as if it were parallel. For some riders this has potential to unlock a new dimension of fit.
